Program begins March 1st and runs through April 15th.

Children's Room Collections
The Children's Room at the Glen Rock Public Library has
- a large collection of CDs, DVDs,
- books on tape,
- art tables,
- puzzles,
- a duplo table,
- a wooden doll house,
- homework and study tables.
Don't forget to check out our Aquarium, and in the summer months, our Ant Farm. The Childrens Room also has 4 computers dedicated to children's games and 2 computers for reference and research. Please review the Rules for Online Safety for Kids, www.safekids.com and www.netsmartz.org

GET YOUR FIRST LIBRARY CARD
Each September, in celebration of National Get Your Library Card Sign-up Month, Glen Rock Library offers a program for children from Kindergarten to 3rd Grade in which they learn about the joys and responsibilities of using the library and receive their first card.
All attendees have their photo displayed on the "Our Newest Library Card Holders" poster in the Library. Patrons can also request a library card for their child at any time during the year.
READATHON: Every year the Friends of the Glen Rock Public Library sponsor an annual Readathon. If you are in preschool through fifth grade, we need YOU to be an All Star Reader! This is your chance to read books, earn a medal and help the Glen Rock Library!

STORYTIMES

Babies (6 - 12 weeks)
Share the fun of baby's very first library storytime!Toddlers (8 - 24 months)

PAWS FOR READING
Beginning and accomplished readers can make friends with well-behaved certified therapy dogs while polishing reading and public speaking skills.
Come and read for a 10 minute period to one of the beautiful loving dogs. Register in the Children's Room.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteers are welcome and appreciated in the Children's Room.
Adults and children 4th grade and up are invited to stop in to fill out an application and learn about the opportunities available. Help is needed year-round for services such as shelf reading, weeding older materials, setting up displays, decorating the room and making phone calls.
During the Summer we have additional work such as registering children for the program, recording reading times, distributing prizes, preparing materials for children's programs and setting up and cleaning up for programs.
